Global couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas took to their respective social media handles to announce that they have become parents. One of the biggest romances of 2018, reports say that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s love story began with a direct message via Twitter.

Nick proposed to Priyanka in Crete with a $200,000 Tiffany cushion-cut diamond ring and in December 2018, they had a lavish three-day wedding which was followed by four wedding receptions. Now, three years and a month later, the two have become proud parents to a baby via surrogacy.

Priyanka and Nick both took to their respective social media handles to share the news, writing, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

Meanwhile, recently, during an interview with Vanity Fair, Priyanka had actually opened up on her plans of having babies with Nick and whether her mother hopes for a grandchild someday. The actress had said that having babies is a big part of their desire for the future, but they are not rushing into it yet. “By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens,” the actress had said.

During the same interview, the actress had said, “I’m craving my family life. I’m craving being able to do things for the soul that I didn’t do because I was just ‘blinders on’ and working.”

Interestingly, Priyanka had spoken about having a baby even when she had participated in her family show – The Jonas Brothers Family Roast. During the show, Priyanka, quite subtly, told Nick ‘we are expecting’ that left the singer shocked. The actor tried to troll Nick by making the big announcement. She said she and Nick are the only couple without babies in the family. However, she added they are soon going to welcome a child and that she was expecting. While Nick looked flabbergasted, Priyanka broke into laughter saying it was a joke and one should have seen Nick’s reaction.
