Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas might be each other’s biggest critics, loudest cheerleaders and most solid support system, but the couple also knows how to take a joke or two from each other. In Netflix’s latest offering titled Jonas Brothers Family Roast, Nick and his brothers get a ‘nice roast’ for dinner. Priyanka took over the stage to roast not just her husband Nick but also his brothers – Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
The actress, during her roast, said she is honoured, thrilled and tickled to be on the platform to roast her husband and his brothers whose names she can’t remember.
During the same roast, Priyanka hilariously took a dig at all the Jonas brothers over their social media following and said she has more followers than all of them combined. “All of them combined have less followers than me,” she said. Priyanka, who started her journey in Indian films, is now a celebrated name in Hollywood as well. Her Instagram following stands at over 70.6 million while her husband and American singer Nick is followed by 31.7 million Instagram users. Meanwhile, 4.8 million Instagram users follow Kevin and Joe’s Instagram following stands at 12.9 million. Frankie Jonas, the youngest Jonas brother, is followed by 580k Instagram users.
While the Jonas brothers couldn’t stop laughing at Priyanka’s brutal but witty digs, the actress also went on to make a joke about her age gap of ten years with Nick, for which the duo was brutally trolled when they made their relationship official.
She said, “Nick and I have a 10 year age gap, yes, we do. And there are many ’90s pop culture references that he doesn’t understand and I have to explain them to him,” she said, adding that it’s fine since they teach other things. Immediately after, Priyanka said Nick has taught her how to use TikTok and she showed him what a successful acting career looks like.
The roast comes right after Priyanka dropped ‘Chopra Jonas’ from her Instagram account. Rumours of a rift between the couple hit headlines soon after and Priyanka’s mom Madhu Chopra refuted them all. And now, Priyanka’s roast is certainly proof that all is well in the Chopra-Jonas family. Priyanka and Nick, meanwhile, haven’t said a word about the surnames being dropped from the actress’ widely-followed Instagram account.
