President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Yashoda Medicity Hospital in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, on Sunday (October 26, 2025). During her visit, she was joined by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Governor Anandi Ben, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, and other leaders were also among those who were present during the launch. The inauguration ceremony of the 1200-bed campus, located in Shaktikhand 2, began around 11.30 am today. The hospital has established centres of excellence in oncology, organ transplants, cardiology, neurosciences, and mother-child care.
‘I Hope This Institution Will Improve Health Services’ – President Murmu
At the inauguration event today, President Murmu said, “Yashoda Hospital has adopted national priorities with full devotion…This hospital has been established as the first centre in North India under the System for TB Elimination in Private Sector (STEPS)…I would like this institution to contribute as much as possible to the national initiatives related to sickle cell anaemia…The leadership of this institution prioritizes the ideals of social service and national service…I hope that this medical institution will make effective efforts to improve local and national health services with a spirit of Swadeshi and a special emphasis on medical research..Many underprivileged people live in the country, and they also contribute to the country’s development… they should also receive support in every field…”
Security Briefings Conducted Ahead Of President’s Visit
Earlier on Saturday, a briefing of police personnel was conducted to discuss security arrangements. Additionally, a mock drill and a trial were held ahead of the arrival of the President and other guests. Instructions were laid out by the Delhi National Security Agency to the security guards regarding parking, entry, and emergency response points. Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner Alok Priyadarshi, DCP Nimish Patil, ADCP Traffic Sachchidanand, ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava, CFO Rahul Pal, and district officials reviewed the site.
