It is a collaborative initiative by OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank. This new network of data centers will be developed in the United States. This ranks among the most costliest projects worldwide.
The world’s most expensive project is Europe’s Trans-European Transport Network, which is estimated to cost around 600 billion dollars. Following this comes the Saudi Arabia’s Neom City Project. The estimated cost of this is around 500 billion dollars.
Trump announced this project on Monday. At that time, OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Oracle’s Larry Ellison, and Softbank’s Masayoshi Son were present.
The Company OpenAI stated that this will strengthen America’s leadership globally in the field of AI, as per media reports.
The company further stated that this project will not only give strength to re-industrialization but it will also support the strategic capabilities of America.
Trump stated that this will employ over 100,000 people. Competition is between America and China in terms of AI. Trump mentioned that China is a rival and we want to see our country in front, as per media reports.
