Thalapathy Vijay is currently basking in the success of his movie ‘GOAT’ aka ‘The Greatest Of All Time’ and has already started preparing for his next project. The actor-politician will be seen in ‘Thalapathy 69’ and Pooja Hegde has now officially joined the film. The actress has earlier worked with Vijay in the 2022 Tamil movie ‘Beast’. 

Expressing her excitement about joining the team of ‘Thalapathy 69’, Pooja Hegde wrote on her Instagram story, “Yaaaas! Hoping to create magic once again with the one and only Thalapathy @actorvijay.” 

The movie was announced on September 14 and the makers wrote on X, “We are beyond proud & excited to announce that our first Tamil film is #Thalapathy69, directed by the visionary #HVinoth, with music by the sensational Rockstar @anirudhofficial. Super happy to collaborate with the one and only #Thalapathy The torch bearer of Democracy is arriving on Oct 2025.”

The official title of ‘Thalapathy 69’ has not been announced yet. The movie is scheduled to release in October 2025. Apart from Vijay and Pooja Hegde, the movie also stars Bollywood actor Bobby Deol in the lead role. 

On the work front, Pooja will be seen in the Hindi movie ‘Deva’ with Shahid Kapoor. Talking about her journey of working in ‘Deva’ and her collaboraton with Shahid, she told Filmfare, “Deva is a promising project because it offers a unique and engaging storyline with a strong character for me to portray. This is my first collaboration with Shahid Kapoor and it’s a film that combines action, drama and entertainment in a way that will keep the audience engaged and entertained. My fans will see me in a new light in this film. The team behind the project is also highly talented, which makes it even more exciting. I can’t wait for it to be released.” 

Pooja was last seen in the movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ with Salman Khan. She will also be seen with Suriya in the movie ‘Suriya 44’.
