Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has described Narendra Modi as “superhuman” and added that the Prime Minister possessed traces of God.
“I see in Narendra Modi… there are traces of God in him. He is a repository of unending powers. How can one person work so much? Congress ran a government for years before this. Were there development works everywhere you went?” Chouhan said during a BJP election rally in Goa’s Dabolim Assembly constituency.
The MP CM added: “I am not saying this because I am a Chief Minister and a BJP worker. I am saying what I feel in my heart. It is fortunate that the country has a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi. He has an incredible personality.”
Chauhan then described Prime Minister Modi as a superhuman. “Narendra Modi is superhuman. He is a man of ideas.”
Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister said the PM has restored India’s international standing. “When the Congress was in power, people abroad used to ignore us when we say we come from India. There was no respect. They would not look at us with pride. India used to be discussed vis-a-vis issues related to corruption.”
Goa polls
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that the BJP’s ‘strategy’ will be to woo Congress legislators and form government again after the Goa Assembly Elections.
The Aam Aadmi Party leader arrived in the coastal state for a four-day campaigning tour ahead of elections on February 14.
While talking to media at the airport, Kejriwal said, “This Assembly Election is crucial for Goa. Goans must decide what is best for them. One option is to support the AAP, which has promised a corruption-free government. Another option is to support the BJP directly or indirectly. In the last election, Goans were fed up with the BJP government and chose the Congress. But Congress MLAs let them down”.
Kejriwal said the situation was the same again this time, with reports of Congress defections in every part of the state.
“The BJP has planned a new strategy. Once Congress candidates win their seats, they are going to join the BJP,” claimed Kejriwal.
The Delhi CM further said that since the BJP cannot form a government until it conquers Salcette’s bastion of the Congress, it has fielded seven candidates on the Congress ticket and is funding them.
