Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led government at the Centre, saying there is a need for a qualitative change in the country. The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo described PM Modi as a ‘very short-sighted’ person and called for removing the ruling saffron party from the Centre and throwing it into the Bay of Bengal.
The TRS chief described BJP as being “shameless”, and said the saffron party should be “thrown into the Bay of Bengal”.
“How painful it is that the Centre is behaving like this. Such a short-sighted Prime Minister for this country… We are feeling sad that we have such a narrow-minded Centre,” the Telangana CM said.
Meanwhile, reacting to KCR’s comments, TRS MP K Keshava Rao said that one has to understand the spirit rather than words of the Telangana CM.
Hitting out at BJP and Congress, Rao stated that both the national parties have failed to make the country realise its potential.
Rao, who described the Union Budget as a ‘golmaal budget’ that disappointed farmers, workers and common people, claimed that it was a “betrayal” against the people.
Slamming the BJP-led governmnet over the Union Budget 2022-23, KCR described it as a ‘golmaal budget’ and said it was a “betrayal” against the people.
“I appeal to the people of India, after seeing the budget of today, I am totally upset. The false propaganda which has been propagated through the dais of the parliament is totally wrong. The Government of India has no respect for the farmers, no respect for the poor,” Rao said.
When asked to comment on his “national ambitions”, the Telangana CM said it is not about ambition but a qualitative change in the country.
“I will definitely play my role to bring about that qualitative change, as KCR, as a son of this country, and as a person who reached a high position in public life. In what form that responsibility would be, how is it going to be, I am already talking to many people in the country. We will reveal that policy soon,” the TRS chief stressed.
Notably, in the recent past, Rao met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin is also expected to meet his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray.
“I will be sharing my ideas with them. Those who want to join, can join. Those who want to join the fight, can join,” Rao said when aksed whether he would meet other political leaders.
