Prime Minister Narendra Modi repeated India’s clear position on the Gaza issue, saying that humanity must never become a “victim of conflict”. He made the remarks during a joint press briefing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel.
What PM Modi said on Gaza Peace Initiative?
PM Modi said that a path to peace has been created through the Gaza Peace Initiative and that India has fully supported these efforts. He added that India will continue dialogue and cooperation with all countries in the future.
“India’s stance is clear: Humanity must never become a victim of conflict. A path to peace has been created through the Gaza Peace Plan. India has fully supported these efforts,” he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that India stands on the side of peace. At the same time, he strongly condemned the October 7 massacre carried out by Hamas in Israel. He said terrorism in any part of the world threatens peace everywhere and must be opposed firmly.
Address to Knesset
During his address to the Knesset on Wednesday, PM Modi said that while the road to peace is not always easy, India supports the international community in working towards dialogue, peace and stability in the region.
He said the Gaza Peace Initiative, which has been endorsed by the United Nations Security Council, offers a pathway towards a just and lasting solution. According to him, the plan holds promise for durable peace for all people in the region, including by addressing the Palestine issue.
Terrorism threatens global peace
PM Modi underlined that terrorism, wherever it occurs, is a threat to global peace and security. He called for collective efforts guided by wisdom, courage and humanity.
“Let all our efforts be guided by wisdom, courage, and humanity. The road to peace is not always easy. But India joins you and the world for dialogue, peace and stability in this region,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s remarks once again highlighted India’s balanced approach — supporting peace efforts while taking a firm stand against terrorism.
