People from other states might come to Maharashtra to disturb law and order: State home department

Maharashtra Home Department  claimed that intelligence has received reports that people from other states are expected to come to the state to disturb law and order.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut also claimed that he came to know that people from outside the state are being brought and a conspiracy for rioting is being hatched.”It’s Maharashtra, against which a conspiracy is being hatched. I have information that people from outside the state are being brought and a conspiracy for rioting is being hatched. State government and police are capable to handle it,” Raut alleged, ANI reported.
Earlier today, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil held a review meeting regarding the law and order situation. Patil also briefed Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on the law and order situation in the state
The Chief Minister ordered that police should take all measures to maintain law and order and not wait for anyone’s order. Thackeray also spoke to Maharashtra DGP Rajnish Seth over the phone and discussed the law and order situation.
The Maharashtra police chief earlier today said that they will act against anyone trying to disturb communal harmony. The statement came after MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s announcement of protest from May 4 against loudspeakers atop mosques.
“Maharashtra police are capable of handling any kind of law-and-order situation. SRPF and Home Guards have been deployed in the state,” Seth said.
The state police chief appealed to everyone to maintain peace. He said that police are fully prepared to tackle the situation in the state and have been given clear instructions to take stern action against those creating trouble, he said.
