Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is inching closer to Rs 900 crore at the global box office. The film, which released on January 25, has once again cemented Shah Rukh Khan’s position as numero uno star of Bollywood movies.
Pathaan earns Rs 877 crore gross worldwide
A while back, makers of Pathaan, YRF, shared that the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer espionage film has managed to earn $106.97 million worldwide gross, which roughly translates to Rs 877 crore. The film has earned Rs 544 crore in India alone and another Rs 333 crore globally to make it the highest grossing Hindi film in the history of Indian Cinema.
Pathaan crosses lifetime business of KGF2 (Hindi)
Recently, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share that Pathaan, which is still running in theatres, has crossed the lifetime business of KGF 2. Pathaan tops global charts without China release
Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan managed another feat recently when it topped the global box office century markwith $103.6 million becoming the first Bollywood movie to achieve the milestone without a China release. Furthermore, in the UAE and Gulf States, the film has grossed $11.4 million till now, making it the highest-grossing Indian film there ever.
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham film led the offshore market in North America with $14.3M through Sunday and is expected to surpass RRR this week. It is estimated that Shah Rukh Khan’s film could very well overtake SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 to become the biggest Indian movie ever there.
