Fahad Mustafa returned to television after 9 long years and reminded everyone why he ruled the silver screen the way he did. His last show before a long hiatus was Dusri Bivi, released in 2015. However, that decision turns out to be his worst, and Zareen – a spoiled brat – pushes him into a dark pit. The show was written by Sarwat Nazir and directed by Babar Javed. It featured an ensemble comprising Faisal Qureshi, Aamina Sheikh, Alishba Yousuf, Saba Hameed, and Asif Raza Mir.

Daagh

Daagh (2012) was such a big hit that it was one of the few shows aired in India on Zindagi channel. The drama tells the story of Murad, who marries the love of his life, Umama, against his family’s wishes. Despite a strong bond, family expectations to have a boy pull them apart, and Murad goes on to marry Deeba. The show focuses on social evils and struggles of a woman. Fahad established himself as a versatile actor with this show and went on to grab several good offers.

Dusri Biwi

Dusri Biwi was Fahad’s last show before he went on a break. He played the role of Haasan, a man living a happy life with his wife, Ayesha. Haasan’s life takes a tragic turn when he ends up fulfilling a promise and marrying his colleague, Farah. The show deals with the problematic concept of polygamy and how it affects a family, especially women. Maha Warsi and Hareem Farooq gave convincing performances; Fahad, as Haasan, also did a fabulous job as a man torn between two women.

Mastana Mahi

The show features Fahad Mustafa (Adal), Sajal Aly (Suhaai), and Mehreen Raheel (Aaleen). Adal, son of a big politician, is forced to marry a 10-year-old Suhaai. However, Adal falls in love with Aaleen and marries her after revealing the truth about his first marriage. The show is full of twists and turns and unravels complex characters and their journeys. The show has been one of Fahad’s most underrated works, even though he won a nomination in the Best Actor Category at the Lux Style Awards for the drama.
