“Today our enemies are pained by our rise trying to break the country on lines of caste, language and race, adding that those trying to break our unity may not be just our open enemies, but can be someone from inside also,” PM Modi said while observing Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary as Ekta Diwas.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel reached Morbi last night and has been holding the command of search and rescue operations. The state government has constituted a committee to investigate this incident. I assure the people of the country that there will be no laxity in rescue and relief work, PM Modi said.
Rescue and relief operations have been going on since yesterday and the Centre is extending all help to the Gujarat government.
After the Morbi tragedy struck, every citizen of the country started praying for the victims of the accident. Locals are stepping forward to extend help at the accident spot and hospital. This is the strength of unity, PM Modi said in Kevadiya.
