Oscars 2023: What are The New York Times, Variety’s predictions for RRR, Jr NTR, Chhello Show

The 95th Academy Awards is all set to announce its nominations on Tuesday (January 24) and Indians are hopeful that SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR will earn a nod at this year’s Oscars, after their win at Golden Globe Awards. The New York Times’ predictions for Oscars 2023 nominations overlooked RRR in the best picture category and placed their bets on critically-acclaimed films such as The Fabermans and Everything Everywhere All at Once. On the other hand, Variety has predicted that RRR might get a nod in the Best Picture category at the Academy Awards 2023.
According to USA Today’s Oscar nomination predictions, RRR actor NT Rama Rao Jr, who plays a warrior with a mission in the action blockbuster film, might get a nominations nod at the Oscars in the Best Actor category. If Jr NTR wins this, it will be a big achievement for Indian cinema.
However, none of the publications included the Gujarati film, Chhello Show, in their Oscars 2023 nomination predictions list.
We compared the Oscars nomination prediction list of The New York Times, Variety, USA Today, and Hollywood Reporter.
