After waiting for almost 2 years, finally Ranveer Singh starrer 83 based on India’s 1983 World Cup win is out for the world to see. One can only imagine how overwhelmed he must be with his most ambitious film coming to the theatres. He, who is a self-confessed Cricket fanatic, has put his heart and soul into narrating Indian team’s victory led by Kapil Dev and looks like his hardwork is paying off like never before. From critics to audiences to industry folks, everyone is only praising the film for more reasons than one.

To mark the release day of 83, Ranveer has now shared a rather adorable post featuring his mother holding the actual 1983 World Cup. After all, 83 is not just a movie but an emotion for Ranveer and the same is evident through his recent post.

“Hum jeet gaye, Mumma! (ps: that’s the actual cup!)”, wrote Ranveer in the caption of his post proving how thrilled he is about the film’s theatrical release. The comments section is flooded with nothing but love for Ranveer and the entire team of 83.

“Jeet gaye! Thanks for this historic film. Thanks also for waiting for the cinemas for this one. It’s a sixer!!!”, wrote Richa Chaddha whereas Shweta Bachchan commented, “So adorable”.

Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 also stars Deepika Padukone. She essays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia in the film. Moreover, DP is also the co-producer of the film. Apart from DeepVeer, the remaining cast comprises of Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi.

The film has released not just in Hindi but in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
