Ola Electric aims to have over 200 experience centres by March 2023

Electric vehicle maker Ola Electric is looking to have more than 200 experience centres across the country by March 2023. These experience centres will basically allow customers to get a feel of their product before purchase.
The announcement by the company comes amid falling sales of its flagship Ola S1 Pro scooter.
“Opening up experience centres across the country. 20 already, more than 200 by March!,” tweeted Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal.
ET reported, citing sources, that these stores will be company owned and operated.
These centres will have facilities like product demos, test rides as well as after-sales service for the customers. This is being done to grab the attention of the customers.
Test rides will definitely give the customers an opportunity to test the product before buying. A product demonstration will help consumers in their purchase decision.
The company had held internal competition to increase sales by allocating different regions to key executives within Ola following a fall in sales of S1 Pro, which costs around Rs 1,40,000, as per ET report.
The company then launched a sub Rs 1 lakh variant on August 15 called the S1.
It has also announced plans for its electric car which is slated to go on sale in the country by 2024. The company has made bold claims for its battery-powered four-wheeler. The car would be able to do an estimate of 500 km of range on a single charge and will have quick 0-100 km/h acceleration timing of 4 seconds.
Ola laid off around 1,000 employees, according to reports, as the company went ahead with another of restructuring.
The Bhavish Aggarwal-led firm may further cut costs which could lead to a reduction in its engineering workforce at the ride-hailing business.
