Fans of Shah Rukh Khan, popularly known as SRKians, will have to wait for Pathaan to release in theatres before getting a glimpse of the superstar on a screen. It’s a usual marketing practice that celebrities make appearances on different TV shows, in a bid to promote their upcoming films. And when Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss and Kapil Sharma’s comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show, are running on Indian television, fans expect to see them on the show ahead of their big releases, but it’s not the same for Shah Rukh Khan. The Pathaan star has decided to refrain from using the usual marketing strategies.
Shah Rukh Khan to NOT promote Pathaan on Bigg Boss
According to the reports, Shah Rukh Khan has decided to change the promotional strategy for Pathaan and not appear on obvious TV shows that every Bollywood film relies on. He has also decided to not use the usual marketing strategies to promote his action-adventure film. SRK has also decided to not do the usual media interviews.
Although Salman Khan is going to be a part of Pathaan, Shah Rukh will not appear on Bigg Boss, according to the ETimes report.
A source was quoted as saying, “Shah Rukh Khan will not be going on the Bigg Boss show. He prefers to reach his audience directly.”
The report also stated that Kapil Sharma and his show’s team requested Shah Rukh Khan several times to appear on their show to promote Pathaan but the actor politely said no.
The source further said, “The film has got its momentum and this time SRK who has been avoiding media attraction is going ahead with the film release without any conventional media promotion.”

The film is scheduled to release on January 25 in several languages. The film courted controversy after the release of their first song, Besharam Rang. Several political persons and parties alleged that the song hurts religious sentiments and many raised eyebrows over Deepika’s orange bikini look in the song.
