In an apparent reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, said that ‘the Nizam sitting in the Centre is scared of Arvind Kejriwal’. Addressing a gathering in Himmatnagar in poll-bound Gujarat, Sisodia alleged that his ration, mattresses, and blankets were searched by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ‘see if there is any hidden gold or money’.
“The Nizam sitting in the Centre is scared of Arvind Kejriwal, so in order to arrest his Education Minister, you raid his residence and search his cupboards, ration, mattresses, pillows, and blankets to see if there is any hidden gold or money. I am honest,” Sisodia said.
On a two-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat along with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Sisodia said that he was not scared of the CBI as he was a soldier of Arvind Kejriwal.
Satyandar Jain jailed under ‘false’ case: Kejriwal
Addressing the rally, Kejriwal said that Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain was arrested and has been jailed for two months by making a ‘false’ case. Adding that he would have fired Jain if he was corrupt, the Delhi CM said that ‘they’ are conducting raids to stop the good work being done in education and health sectors in Delhi.
Sisodia claimed that he received a message that the CBI cases against him would be dropped if he joined the BJP. Sisodia and several others were raided by the CBI last week in connection with alleged irregularitues related to the excise policy.
