Celebrated singer Neha Bhasin’s Bigg Boss OTT journey came to an end recently after she was evicted in a surprise midnight elimination. The singer, who admits she was mildly surprised by her elimination, has also won a lot of friends inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, and a lot of fans outside the show. Neha, however, is shocked by the negativity that her bond with her connection Pratik Sehajpal has been subjected to.
In an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Neha shared her reaction to reading all that’s being said about her equation with Pratik. “I am a bit shocked, I won’t lie, with the amount of negativity that I am seeing. But I am also seeing a lot of positivity because a lot of real supporters and fans and people who actually have a sensible game up their arms started supporting me and him for that matter,” said Neha.
The singer added that her journey was not just about her bond with Pratik, and there was a lot more to it. “I just feel that my journey was not just all about Pratik. The biggest thing that is hurtful is that I was a lot more than that in the house,” she said, sharing all the compliments she’s received from people on her personality inside the house.
Neha shared that she had a lot of fun inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, and assured that she was being herself. She also opened up about the conversation she had with her mother about her journey, and shared, “You know I was just talking to my mother about it, and maybe it’s going to be a bit of an emotional confession but I have tamed a big part of myself over the years because of this, because of being misunderstood. And I think fortunately or unfortunately, that whole of me came out on the show. It is just the way I am and I get it that some people might not understand it but I can’t change who I am, I have spent too many years apologising so bad, letting people hurt me, I think I’m just kind of done with that part of my life,” articulated Neha.
“People will talk, it’s okay so I guess and we were being ourselves, so I guess we’ll have to move on from that,” she added.
As for the host Karan Johar, who a section of housemates believed was biased towards Neha and Shamita Shetty, the singer has only good things to say. “I think he was fabulous. In fact, I was very scared initially because I’d heard a lot of things about the Weekend Ka Vaar on Sunday Ka Vaar, but I think he called a spade a spade a lot of times,” she said, adding that Karan had also called her out on a few things, and she never repeated them.
“The only thing is that both Shamita and I used to take his feedback in a more constructive manner, whereas some people were getting very defensive about it. My take on this is that he just never spoke only to me and Shamita, but he spoke to Shamita, Pratik, Nishant, me, Raqesh and Divya and if you look at the trajectory, we were the top finalists of the show. So probably, we just had a lot more participation inside the house and other people didn’t,” she reasoned. The singer also explained that the weekend episodes are usually an indication of who are the forerunners, and she didn’t see it as a problem.
Neha is rooting for both Pratik Sehajpal and Shamita Shetty for tonight’s Bigg Boss OTT finale, and admits that she will be the happiest if either of the two win.
