Nayanthara is one of the most popular South Indian actresses and has successfully stepped into a business venture as well. Over the past few years, the ‘Jawan’ star has been questioned about having plastic surgery on the face due to rumours. At a recent event, Nayanthara set the record straight about her plastic surgery rumours, stating that changes in her face occurred because of weight loss and diet.
While speaking to Hauterfly about her makeup routine before the big event, she shared, “I take the time to perfect it because it’s the real game changer. I’ve had different brow phases over the years. Maybe that’s why people think my face is changing and I keep looking different. Maybe that’s why a lot of people think I’ve done something to my face.”
Dismissing rumours of plastic surgery, the actress further said, “But that’s not true. On record…not true. Not that it’s wrong. But for me, it has just been diet, so there’s been a lot of weight fluctuation and my cheeks go in and out. You can pinch me, burn me, you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.”
Nayanthara launched her skincare brand 9Skin in 2023 and has now tied up with Reliance’s Tira Beauty. In an earlier interview with Harper Bazaar India, she talked about her inspiration behind launching her own beauty brand.
She revealed, “Launching 9Skin was a natural progression for me. I’ve always been passionate about skincare, and the name signifies the comprehensive care the brand aims to provide, embracing the nine dimensions of well-being.”
Further talking about self care, the actress added, “Self-care, to me, is about balance. It’s about doing the things I love the most. For me its work and family and the biggest joy is to find that right balance amid our busy schedules. I make time for workouts, hydration, my family, and some ‘me time’ which includes my skincare routine, which is super important to me.”
On the work front, Nayanthara will next star in ‘Test’ with R Madhavan and Siddharth.
