Cinephiles can’t keep calm as it’s National Cinema Day! All those who were held back by the expensive tickets can now watch their favourite films at Rs 99. Multiplex chains like PVR Inox, Cinepolis India, Miraj Cinemas and MovieMax have come forward to treat people with the offer, which is available only for a day. The idea is to celebrate people’s love for cinema and bring more audience to the theatres, who otherwise would think twice before spending so much for a theatrical experience.
Though the offer is valid across the country, it is to be noted that the special pricing does not apply to 3D movies, recliner seats, or premium formats.
Which movie to watch?
There are no new releases this week besides Walt Disney’s animated film Moana 2. However, several re-releases as well as the fresh films released in the past weeks can be watched today at a decent price. Among the re-releases, Salman Khan’s Biwi No. 1 and Karan Arjun is getting good response from people and the advance booking numbers reflect audience’s interest in reliving the good memories they created with the films.
If Salman is dominating the screens, Shah Rukh is not far behind with his 2003 release Kal Ho Naa Ho and 2004 film Veer Zara. The movies have been running successfully in theatres, giving new releases a tough competition.
Anees Bazmee’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a perfect family entertainer and has received rave reviews from the audiences. At such a nominal price, the Kartik Aaryan starrer can be enjoyed with your friends and family. Watching it again isn’t a bad idea either.
Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, gave a tough competition to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. It was a difficult choice for the audience and many went for Kartik Aaryan’s film. However, this is a good opportunity to watch Ajay Devgn’s film now, in case you missed it before.
Other movies, which can be enjoyed, include The Sabarmati Report, Gladiator 2, Venom: The Last Dance, Kanguva, I Want To Talk, Amaran, Laila majnu and Kung Fu Panda.
