Must be a method to his madness: Industrialist Harsh Goenka believes Elon Musk has a game plan with Twitter

At a time when the world’s richest person and now the new boss of Twitter Elon Musk is being widely criticised for his decisions concerning the microblogging site, Indian industrialist Harsh Goenka has exuded hope in him, saying Musk’s genius is being underestimated.
Since taking over the social media company late last month, Musk has announced a slew of changes to Twitter, apart from sacking nearly 50 per cent of the total workforce of 7,500 employees. The richest billionaire, who is also the chief executive of Tesla and SpaceX, became the owner of Twitter in October after completing the $44 billion acquisition deal.
Coming out in support of the 51-year-old billionaire, RPG Enterprises chairman Harsh Goenka on Saturday reminded people of how Musk was ahead of his times when it came to his companies Tesla, SpaceX or even The Boring Company. “We are underestimating the genius of Elon Musk,” the 64-year-old said.
“There must be a method to his madness. Whether it was Tesla, SpaceX or Boring co, he was ahead of his times. He surely has a game plan with #Twitter which we just can’t comprehend. Let’s give him time before we predict its death,” the industrialist said in a tweet.
His view was echoed by many users in the comment section who also agreed that while Musk may have some eccentric ideas and plans, Twitter will stay.
Musk restores Donald Trump’s Twitter account
In his latest set of changes, Musk on Sunday announced that former US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account will finally be restored, after over a year of being permanently banned in 2021, post the attack on the US Capitol. He arrived at the decision after launching a Twitter poll on Saturday asking people to vote on whether to reinstate Trump.
After running the poll for 24 hours, billionaire Musk on Sunday morning revealed the results, based on 15,085,458 votes. Of the total votes cast, 51.8 per cent voted in favour while 48.2 per cent people said no to Trump’s reinstatement on Twitter.
“Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Musk tweeted.
