MS Dhoni confirmed to play IPL 2023
MS Dhoni will be in action for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2023. He was expected to take a call on his career after IPL 2022 but with the T20 league going back home and away format from the 16th edition, Dhoni wanted to play in front of the Chennai crowd. It will be the first time since 2019 that CSK will be playing a home fixture.
The Yellow Army spent a huge sum of Rs 16.25 crore on Ben Stokes in the IPL 2023 mini-auction. This will be the first time when the England Test captain will play under Dhoni’s captaincy. Apart from Stokes, the four-time IPL Champions bought Kyle Jamieson, Nishant Sidhu, Ajinkya Rahane, Bhagath Varma, Ajay Mandal and Shaik Rasheed.
Ravindra Jadeja will continue to play for CSK. He was expected to part ways with the franchise after being sacked as captain last year. But the star all-rounder was among the players retained by CSK before IPL 2023. He captained CSK in the first half of IPL 2022.
