Sonam Kapoor and hubby Anand Ahuja are about to embark on the most exciting chapter of their lives as they prepare to become parents. The expecting parents shared the wonderful news on social media in March of this year.
Anil and Sunita Kapoor recently made headlines when it was reported that their daughter would receive a spectacular baby shower at her maasi Kavita Singh’s bungalow Rockdale in Bandra, Mumbai. The wedding of Sonam and Anand in 2018 also took place here.
Now, a source close to Pinkvilla has also revealed that Sonam’s best friend and fashion designer Masaba Gupta will take the mantle of the event designer and create magic with the baby shower’s boho-themed decor. For the unversed, the two have a close relationship and have known one another since they were little.
The two divas are among the most well-known BFFs in B-town. Swara Bhasker, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora, Alia Bhatt, Natasha Dalal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Deepika Padukone, Masaba, and Rani Mukherji will all reportedly attend Sonam’s baby shower in addition to the Kapoor family members of Janhvi, Khushi, Shanaya, Anshula, Arjun, and Mohit.
The Neerja actress also recently had her baby shower in London and shared photos of the event with the caption on Instagram, “It’s all starting to feel real! This baby is now well on its way and I’m so thankful to @eieshabp for throwing the best welcoming party ever, bringing together so many of my favourite people and showering me with love and blessings in the most generous and beautiful way.” Sonam and Anand are expected to welcome their firstborn this fall.
