Manish Sisodia visits Himachal Pradesh, accuses BJP of doing ‘politics of riots’

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia  attacked the Himachal Pradesh government, alleging that the hilly state’s education system is “in shambles”. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of indulging in “politics of riots”.
Sisodia is in the northern state ahead of the Assembly Elections, likely to take place in December.
The senior AAP leader further said that the BJP engages in “politics of riots” and pits people against each other.
Sisodia also said he talked to intellectuals from all corners of Himachal Pradesh about the education system in the state.
“The education system in Himachal Pradesh is in shambles as government schools lack basic infrastructure and quality education, while fees in private schools are very high as the state government has given them free hand to loot the people,” Sisodia told the media.
The state has only one-two teacher in 8,500 government schools, according to Sisodia.
“Similarly, there are 10,000 schools in the state which have only one or two classrooms,” he said, noting that 47 per cent of the government schools are without a principal.
Sisodia said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has positively affected the education system in the national capital in five years by providing quality education in government schools and by regulating private schools’ fees.
“If the AAP government can provide quality education in Delhi in five, why could not the BJP government do so in Himachal Pradesh?,” he asked.
Notably, during the visit, the AAP leader didn’t visit any government schools in Shimla or address students and parents. Sisodia said he would visit government schools during subsequent visits.
He further urged the voters in Himachal Pradesh to give AAP a chance in the coming election so that the party can provide quality education to the state.
In Himachal Pradesh, don’t vote again for AAP if it fails to deliver quality education five years after being voted to power, he further told voters.
Sisodia alleged, without mentioning any name, that a senior government minister held up to 10 receptions for the wedding of his son at five-star hotels. Prior to joining politics, this minister had a two-room kachcha house, and now he has so much money, alleged Sisodia.
