Manipur Congress endorses Sonia Gandhi’s article on religious polarisation, says Keisham Meghachandra

Manipur Congress has endorsed the article written by Sonia Gandhi in Indian Express on April 16. , Manipur Congress Chief Keisham Meghachandra endorsed the article written by Sonia Gandhi.”The opinion of Congress President, Madam Sonia Gandhi, in The Indian Express, today, as “A virus rages among us”, is, indeed, a message to the nation in the form of a genuine reminder of bringing back the country – that our founding forefathers have dreamt of during our freedom struggle – to the world of peace, harmony and co-existence with vibrantly independent institutions and Rule of Law enshrined in the Constitution,” said Keisham Meghachandra.
As per the Manipur Congress president, the current Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has neglected the issues of the people. “Unfortunately, in today’s state of affairs in our country, the Narendra Modi government has deliberately and intentionally chosen to forget the real issues of our people, instead the diversionary tactics are being engineered to overshadow the real public issues in states and the country,” added Meghachandra.
The Manipur Congress has said that under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi the country should unite again. “I wholeheartedly welcome the feelings and sentiments of Madam Gandhi and stand in support of her article in understanding the pains of the people of our country, which is going through the dark phase of divisiveness and polarisation under the incumbent Modi government. The virus of hate and intimidation is also deeply affecting and damaging the social fabrics in my state, Manipur, and it is distorting our language, culture, indigenous religions and ancient history. Under her able leadership, I believe that time has come for the people of Manipur and our nation to come fearlessly united and fight for the better future of our state and nation,” said Keisham Meghachandra.
