Malayalam actor Bala hospitalised due to liver-related illness. Actor to undergo liver transplant

Malayalam actor Bala has been hospitalised on March 7 (today) in Kochi due to liver-related illness. Just a couple of weeks ago, the brother of popular Tamil filmmaker Siva visited the hospital to consult with the doctors, who reportedly advised him to undergo liver transplantation.

As per reports, Bala has been hospitalised in Kochi on Tuesday following advice from doctors that he undergo liver transplantation due to a liver-related illness.
Bala’s brother, Souryam director Siva is expected to reach the hospital later today to be with his brother and his family. The famed filmmaker is currently busy working on a yet to be titled Tamil film with Kollywood star Suriya. Additionally, celebrities from the Malayalam film industry including Unni Mukundan, Badusha and Vinusha Mohan visited the actor at the hospital to inquire about his condition.
Producer N. M Badusha took to Facebook to share an update about the South Indian actor. “Unni Mukundan, me, Vishnu Mohan, Swaraj and Vipin came to Amrita hospital today and visited actor Bala. Bala has spoken to everyone. There are no other issues currently. Bala is being taken to Shiva Hospital from Chennai. The doctor will inform me with more details later,” he wrote in Malayalam.Last seen in the movie 2022 film Shefeekkinte Santhosham, Bala has earned a name in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries after working on a number of movies over the years. He made his acting debut with the 2003 Tamil film Anbu and his directorial debut with the 2012 Malayalam action film The Hitlist, in which he played the leading role. The actor had been eyeing to make a strong comeback to the Malayalam film industry with a lot of projects including Bilal, Sthalam and My Dear Machans in his pipeline.
