Bharat Ane Nenu star Mahesh Babu enjoys a massive fan base down South. The actor is regarded is one of the most sought-after celebrities by Telugu film buffs and rightly so! But, fans and people from the industry often wonder if Mahesh Babu wants to expand his stardom and make a Bollywood debut.
A couple of weeks back, the Telugu star cleared the air about dipping his toes in Bollywood and starring in a Hindi film. The actor rubbished the rumours and said he wants to stick to the Telugu cinema. Recently, he revealed why he does not want to do Hindi films at all.
Speaking to PTI, Mahesh said that he gets a lot of Hindi film offers but he declines them. He shared that he thinks Bollywood cannot afford him and choses not to waste his time doing the Hindi films being offered to him.
“I may sound arrogant, I did get a lot of offers in Hindi. But I think they can’t afford me. I don’t want to waste my time. The stardom and love I have here in Telugu cinema, I never thought of going to another industry. I always thought I will do films here and they will become bigger, and my belief is turning into a reality now. I can’t be happier,” he said.
During the interview, the actor also revealed that he wants people of India to consume Telugu films and he’s happy that it is happening right now. “I always had this strong opinion that my strength is Telugu films and the emotion I understand is the Telugu film emotion,” he added.
On the work front, Mahesh is gearing up for the release of Sarkaru Vaari Paata on May 12, 2022. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as female lead and Ilez Badurgov, Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles.
