Minister Chhagan Bhujbal took a dig at the BJP and the on-going cruise ship drugs bust case, in which film superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been arrested. He said that “drugs would become sugar powder” if the actor agreed to join the political party. He also instead of probing the case where 3,000 KG heroin was seized at Mundra Port in Gujarat, the NCB was hounding Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan.
“Drugs will become sugar powder if Shah Rukh Khan joins the BJP,” the senior NCP leader was quoted by news agency PTI.
The minister was addressing the public at a Samta Parishad-NCP function when h made the comment. He also demanded to know if the BJP was against giving reservations to Other Backward Classes while saying that the Maharashtra government had got an ordinance passed on OBC quota but a BJP functionary had challenged it in court.
BJP spokesperson Shaina NC spoke and said, “The job of the NCB is to get rid of drugs and supply chain from root; there’s no political interference.”
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut took to Twitter on Sunday and claimed that Aryan’s father SRK was asked for a huge ransom in the drugs case. In his tweet, he wrote, “Witness in #AryanKhan case made to sign on blank paper by NCB is shocking. Also there r reports that thr ws demnd of huge money (sic).”
Politician Sanjay Raut also alleged that the whole case was made just to defame the state. He wrote, “CM UddhavThackeray said tht ths cases r made 2 defame Mah’shtra.Ths seems 2b comng tru @Dwalsepatil. Police shd tk suo moto cognizance. (sic”
Aryan Khan is currently lodged in the Arthur Road jail in central Mumbai as an NDPS court had rejected his bail pleas along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and fashion model Munmun Dhamecha. The three have moved Bombay High court once again for bail and their pleas will be heard on October 26.
