It was a moment of immense pride for Madhya Pradesh as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a Rs 1 crore reward for Kranti Goud, the young pace sensation from the Indian women’s cricket team that created history by winning its first-ever ICC Women’s ODI World Cup on Sunday night.

The 22-year-old Kranti Goud, who hails from Ghuwara village in Chhatarpur district, played a vital role in India’s World Cup campaign, showcasing grit, speed, and determination that symbolized the spirit of the team. Her remarkable journey from a small village in Bundelkhand to the grand stage of world cricket has become an inspiration for countless young girls across the country.

Announcing the reward on Monday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated Kranti and the entire Indian women’s team for their outstanding performance and dedication. He praised Kranti’s contribution, calling her “the pride of Chhatarpur and Madhya Pradesh.”

“The daughters of our state and our nation have made India proud on the world stage. Kranti’s achievement is a shining example of what hard work, discipline, and passion can accomplish,” said Dr. Yadav.

The Chief Minister further assured that the state government will continue to support and promote young sportspersons across all disciplines, providing them with opportunities and encouragement to reach new heights.

On the same day, Dr. Yadav also launched the Energy Department’s Samadhan Yojana 2025–26 from the MP Power Management Company in Arera Colony, Bhopal.

Kranti Goud’s achievement stands as a testament to the power of dreams and perseverance. From bowling in dusty fields in Chhatarpur to lifting the World Cup trophy under the lights of DY Patil Stadium, her journey embodies the very essence of Indian women’s cricket – resilience, hope, and unyielding determination.

For Madhya Pradesh and the nation, Kranti’s story isn’t just about cricket – it’s about inspiring the next generation of champions.
