Lokah Chapter 1 OTT Release: JioHotstar confirms streaming date for Kalyani Priyadarshan’s superhero film; know details

‘Lokah Chapter 1’ has undoubtedly become one of the most successful films of 2025, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan. The movie revolves around a young woman who gains mystical skills while facing personal hurdles. She embraces her superpowers to save the world when evil surfaces. The film has gone on to become the highest grossing Malayalam movie of all time, the biggest Malayalam hit of 2025, and one of the top grossing Indian films of the year.

After its successful run at the box office, the film is now set to make its OTT debut, as announced by JioHotstar. “The world of Lokah unfolds exclusively on JioHotstar, streaming from October 31st,” captioned the streaming giant.

Fans who missed it in theatres can catch the Kalyani Priyadarshan–Naslen starrer on JioHotstar from October 31, available in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, and Marathi dubbed versions.

More about Lokah Chapter 1 

Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films, the film also features Naslen, Sandy, Chandu, Arun Kurian, Shanti Balachandran, and Sharafudheen. The screenplay was co-written by Dominic Arun and Santhy Balachandran.

It opened with Rs 2.71 crore in Kerala and Rs 6.66 crore worldwide. The film earned Rs 65 crore globally in its first four days and crossed Rs 100 crore within a week. So far, it has made Rs 300 crore worldwide, becoming the highest grossing Malayalam film ever and one of the top grossing Indian films with a female lead.

Fans can also look forward to the second installment of the Lokah universe, which is currently in the works.
