List of Chennai Super Kings players who have been ruled out of IPL 2022

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are having a forgettable run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. While on-field performance has been the deciding factor behind CSK’s struggles, the off-field issues have also contributed to the team’s below-par performance. CSK were hit with a big injury blow even before the start of the season and as the season progressed, the team continued to miss the services of a few players.
Ravindra Jadeja has now joined the list of players who have been ruled out of the season. The former CSK captain suffered a bruised rib while fielding against Royal Challengers Bangalore and is out of the season. Even though he was struggling for runs and wickets, Jadeja remains a key member of the franchise and could have made a big difference against MI.
Before Jadeja, it was Adam mile who was ruled out of the season. Milne, who had joined the Yellow Army for a huge sum of Rs 3.2 crore, was ruled out of the season due to a hamstring injury. Milne’s absence left a big hole in CSK’s fast bowling department.
Deepak Chahar was the first player to be ruled out of IPL 2022. The bowling all-rounder had joined the franchise for a huge sum of Rs 14 crore. At the start, he was ruled out of the first half of the season due to a quad injury. While recovering from the injury, Chahar suffered a back issue, which has now put his participation in the T20 World Cup 2022 in doubt. Chahar’s absence was the biggest blow for CSK as he got early breakthroughs in almost every fixture.
All-rounder Chris Jordan wasn’t ruled out of the season, he was unavailable for selection at the start of the season due to health issues.
The unavailabilities of players at different junctures contributed to CSK’s downfall and they are now reeling at the 9th spot. Even though the four-time IPL Champions are mathematically in the competition, they are practically out of the season.
