South star Vijay Deverakonda is busy shooting for his upcoming multilingual film Liger in Goa. Fans, eagerly awaiting any updates on the film, were in for a treat on Wednesday. Pictures of veteran Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna’s visit to the sets of Liger were doing the rounds on social media, sending fans into a tizzy. In the image shared online, Nandamuri Balakrishna is seen alongside Vijay Deverakonda, director Puri Jagannadh and actress Charmme Kaur, who is one of the producers of the film. The movie also stars Ananya Panday in a lead role. The image was shared by Puri Connects, the production house founded by Puri Jagannadh with Charmme Kaur.

The image was also shared online by actor Vijay Deverakonda along with the caption, “Jai Balayya”. Veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna is fondly referred to by his fans as Balayya. He is the son of Telugu acting legend and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao. In a career spanning 40 years, Nandamuri Balakrishna has appeared in over 100 films.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s visit has only added to the excitement around the film. Thanks to Vijay Deverakonda’s huge fan following, Liger is one of the most awaited movies. It will be the actor’s first big-budget pan-India venture. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions are among the producers in addition to Charmme Kaur.
The poster of Liger was released in January this year. Sharing the post, Vijay Deverakonda had written, “Humbly announcing our arrival Pan India!”. The poster features the actor with boxing gloves, and a tiger and a lion forming the backdrop. Vijay Deverakonda added in the caption, “Someone with my background shouldn’t have reached anywhere near here according to the conventions and set norms. But with sheer madness, passion, hard work, here we are! Nationwide madness guaranteed.”
Vijay Deverakonda rose to national fame with his film Arjun Reddy. His other work includes Yevade Subramanyam, Pelli Choopuli, Geetha Govindam, and Dear Comrade.
