The untimely death of One Direction singer Liam Payne has sent shock waves through the world. He was just 31-year-old. Payne allegedly jumped from the third floor of Buenos Aires hotel, Argentina, where he was staying with his girlfriend. While reason behind his death has not been confirmed by the police officials yet, there are reports that the ‘Night Changes’ singer was high on drugs and was out of his senses.
Amid, this a voice note from one of the staff members of the hotel has surfaced online. The 23-second long voice note is originally in Spanish and allegedly reveals Liam’s condition hours before he passed away. The translation of the same was shared by another X user and it reads, “Yes, he is the dead man. He is dead. Some say he fainted in the lobby (of the hotel). They brought him back again to his room and he was acting kinda crazy and he jumped. He jumped. He was totally wasted (drugged). Catia said that she did his room today and he was doing drugs in front of her. He was apologizing for the mess.”
As per another report by Reuters, the police were notified of an “aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol” in the afternoon. The audio of the call made to 911 shows hotel manager describing the chaos because of one of their guests. “We have a guest who is on drugs and is destroying the whole room, so we need someone to come. When he is conscious, he is destroying the entire room, and we need you to send someone,” the worker said, adding that the guest’s life was at risk because their room had a balcony.
For the unversed, Payne had come to Argentina about two weeks ago to meet friend and ex-member of One Direction, Niall Horan. Horan performed at the Argentine capital On October 2. Days before the event, Payne had shared a video in which he could he heard revealing the plan. “We’re going to Argentina. One, because we want to. Two, because we want to. And three, because Niall Horan’s playing down there and I think we might just go and say hello,” he had said.
