In a very short span of time, Kriti Sanon has established herself as one of the leading ladies of the entertainment industry. Apart from delivering commercial hits like Housefull 4 and Luka Chuppi, the gorgeous lady showed her acting mettle in unconventional films like Bareilly Ki Barfi and the recent one Mimi.
Talking about the latter, Kriti gained 15 kg as she was playing the character of a pregnant lady in it. While her transformation impressed everyone, the actress was asked if she can be called female Aamir Khan as the Mr Perfectionist is known for undergoing transformations to justify his roles.
While having an interaction with India Today, the Panipat actress reacted to it and said, “Nahi nahi itna zyada pressure mat dijiye. Aamir Khan sir ko touch karna bohot door ki baat hain (No, no, don’t put me under so much pressure. It’s a long way to being compared with Aamir Khan).” The actress later added it gives immense satisfaction when the audience appreciates the character, which an actor has essayed with complete passion.
Earlier in August, Kriti had shared a video of working and wrote, “While putting on 15 kgs for Mimi was a challenge, losing those kilos wasn’t easy for Chubby Sanon either! and… I had kept Param Sundari for later so I have the motivation to get back in shape!”
She had added, “Having put on so much weight for the first time ever and not working out for 3 months(not even yoga!), my stamina, strength and flexibility had gone down to Zero! In fact, I had to slowly get back to mobility with my joints clicking constantly.”
On the professional front, the actress has multiple biggies under her kitty, which includes Bachchan Pandey, Adipurush, Bhediya and Ganapath.
Talking about Bachchan Pandey, the film features Akshay Kumar in a lead role. In the action-comedy, Akki plays the character of a gangster, who wants to become a hero. The film is directed by Farhad Samji, who is known for helming films like Entertainment, Housefull 3 and Housefull 4. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Abhimanyu Singh in supporting roles. It will hit the screens on March 4, 2022.
