Versatile singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, left for the heavenly abode on May 31 shortly after performing at an event in Kolkata. His untimely demise sent shockwaves across the nation. His millions of fans as well as members of the music fraternity are still coming to terms with the unforeseen reality.
The Pal hitmaker is survived by his wife, Jyothy Krishna and their two children, son Kunnath Nakul, and daughter Kunnath Taamara. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, May 26, Taamara shared a long heartfelt note on her and her family’s behalf to express their gratitude towards the late singer’s team who was with him every step of the way.
In her post, Taamara also expressed her regret of not being there with her father in his final moments. Sharing a picture of KK along with his team members, she wrote, “We wanted to thank all the beautiful human beings in this picture for accompanying dad on all his travels and the vital contributions they made to his shows. I told Hitesh uncle; mom, nakul and I weren’t there for dads final moments, didn’t even get to say goodbye, but we were all so glad that he was by his side.”
Further, Taamara made a genuine request to fans of KK to stop directing hate messages toward his team. “Iv heard about hate mail and a lot of anger being directed towards Hitesh uncle and Shubham. To those of you resorting to such abuse, ask yourself what would dad think if he could see this? You’re basing your judgment on the word of some unverified journalists, channels. Don’t spread hate on their behest,” she added.
Highlighting how much KK loved and trusted every single member of his team, Taamara said, “Every moment dad wasn’t with us, he was with his 2nd family. Please send your love and support to them too. They need it just as much as we do, we are all suffering. I’m very grateful that even though dad didn’t have us on his last day, he had them with him. These are the people that dad himself wholeheartedly trusted and loved.”
On the fateful evening of May 31, KK suffered a heart attack. He reportedly fell sick after his concert at Nazrul Mancha and was rushed to a hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
