Karnataka Global Investor Meet continues to draw huge response on Day 2

The second day of the Global Investors Meet at the Palace Ground in Bengaluru witnessed a huge response with thousands of delegates including business leaders, budding entrepreneurs, technocrats and students attending the various events with great enthusiasm.
Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani who is the driving force behind this flagship event was present during the entire session. The Minister was seen keenly observing the events and interacting with the delegates.
Thousands of delegates attended the TED Talk on the theme ‘India’s Pivotal Role in Arresting Climate Crisis’. Climate activist and filmmaker Chadden Hunter spoke about how India could play a significant role in addressing the global climate change challenges. The speakers stressed on the need for India to move towards green energy for sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
Another interesting session that drew maximum number of delegates was on the theme “Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the Post Pandemic World” where Ms. Randi Zuckerberg, founder of Zuckerberg Media spoke on how India has been facing the challenges posed by the global pandemic. The speakers lauded India’s spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship amid pandemic and emerging global crises. The session was moderated by Narayan Ramachandran, former India Lead, Morgan Stanley.
The GIM also conducted session on “Driving India into the future: Revolution in India’s Mobility” as India transitioning from fossil fuels towards renewable energy.
Dr NV Prasad, IAS, Secretary to Government Transport Department, Chetan Maini, Co-Founder & Chairman, Sun Mobility, Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, CEO & MD, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions and Sachin Nijhawan, Chief Revenue Officer, Switch Mobility participated in the panel discussion which was moderated by Thomas Dauner, MD, Sr, Partner, BCG. The panelists emphasised on pushing EVs for economic and climate reasons while stressing on government subsidies.
