Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is set to hit the big screens on September 9, 2022, after a long wait of 5 years. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, this movie is bankrolled by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions, and also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
Well, amid the ongoing boycott Bollywood trend, the team of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is currently busy promoting their much-awaited movie. Karan Johar, Mouni Roy, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor reached Hyderabad to promote Brahmastra, and during the event, Karan touched Nagarjuna Akkineni’s feet who also marked his presence during the event along with Jr NTR and S.S. Rajamouli.
During the event, filmmaker Karan Johar could be spotted touching Nagarjuna’s feet and revealed that the actor was a good friend of his father Yash Johar. KJo said, “It takes a large heart to give so much time and passion to a film. He became the favourite person on the sets of Brahmastra. My father was a close friend of Nag sir and the legacy of love continues.”
The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director also endorsed for one ‘Indian film industry’. He said during the event, “We, in our own tiny way, are trying to reach every corner (of the country with our film). Like SS Rajamouli sir said, this is Indian cinema. Let’s not call it anything else. We keep giving it a wood… Bollywood, Tollywood. We are not in the woods anymore, we are out of them. We are proudly part of Indian cinema. Each and every film will be now from Indian cinema.”
Talking about the movie, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is intended to serve as the first film in a planned trilogy as a part of its own cinematic universe called Astraverse.
