It was in 1998 that Kuch Kuch Hota Hai hit the big screens. The film, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan, was helmed by Karan Johar. To date, the film continues to be one of the most favourite Bollywood films of all time. While viewers’ perspective about the film has changed over the years, the love remains. 

Karan, who had helmed the film under the banner of Dharma Productions, will be seen gracing the finale of Ranveer Singh’s show, The Big Picture. The director was accompanied by his BFF Kajol and the duo took a trip down memory lane and revealed some of their fondest memories from the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai days.  

The episode, which has been shot already, begins with a grand welcome for Kajol wherein Ranveer will give her a rose. As the night progressed, Karan entered on a rickshaw, leaving everyone surprised. Welcoming Karan in pure Dharma style, Ranveer welcomed him with a pooja thaali in his hand. 

Then during the quiz, KJo will reveal a few little things about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that are sure to leave the fans intrigued. For starters, did you love Kajol’s iconic headband look in the film? If the answer is yes, you’d be surprised to know that it wasn’t planned in advance. The look was actually a last-minute hair fix as the actress started to face some issues with her wig!  

Kajol was made to wear a headband in the film only because there was an issue with her wig. Little did the team know that it’d become a long-lasting fashion trend after the film’s release. “Kuch kuch galtiyaan iconic bann jaati hai!” Karan said while making this revelation. 

The filmmaker also revealed that the sport of basketball gained more prominence after being focused on in the film. Ranveer, the host of the Colors show, then recreated the iconic scene by playing a game of hoops with Kajol. So far, several big celebrities have featured on Ranveer’s show, which also marked the actor’s debut on the small screen.
