Kapil Sharma has reacted to the reopening announcement of his restaurant, Kap’s Cafe, in Surrey, Canada, which was briefly shut down after a recent shooting incident. Sharma took to Instagram Stories to repost the official update from the cafe, expressing his support and appreciation.

The post from Kap’s Cafe read, “Kap’s Cafe. Reopens tomorrow. We’ve missed you and are truly grateful for your continued love and support. With heartfelt thanks, we’re opening our doors again–ready to welcome you back with warmth, comfort, and care. See you soon, 8 am to 10 pm.”

The caption further added “Opening Tomorrow, The lights are on, the coffee’s warm, and our hearts are full. Kap’s Cafe reopens tomorrow. Catch us daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. See you there.”

What Happened At Kap’s Cafe?

The cafe had been temporarily closed following a shooting incident on July 10. According to the Surrey Police Service, gunshots were heard outside the cafe around 1:50 AM local time, while some staff members were still inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although at least 10 bullet holes were found in the windows and another pane was shattered.

Following the incident, the cafe’s team shared a heartfelt statement on Instagram.

The statement read, “We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”

“Thank you for your support. Your kind words, prayers, and memories shared via DM mean more than you know. This cafe exists because of your belief in what we’re building together. Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Cafe remains a place of warmth and community. From all of us at Kap’s Cafe, thank you and see you soon, under better skies,” it added.
