Kangna Ranaut lashes Out At Ramji Lal Suman: ‘Insulting Historical Figures Is Wrong’

Kangna Ranaut asserted that ‘Rana Sanga is a hero who fought for freedom and respect and these warriors are the reason India exists today’. She condemned the remarks made by Suman and called for an apology from those responsible. She said, ‘our freedom fighters are great part of our heritage, so insulting them is wrong.’

Ramji Lal Suman’s Controversial Remarks

Ramji Lal Suman, a Samajwadi party MP, recently called Rana Sanga a ‘traitor’ for allegedly helping Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, defeat Sultan Ibrahim Lodi. His comments caused a lot of anger and led to protests.

Violence in Agra

After Suman’s statement, violence broke out at his home in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Some unidentified people threw stones, broke windows and damaged vehicles parked outside his residence. The protesters were reportedly part of the Karni Sena, a Rajput group. The police arrested several people and some officers were injured during the incident.

Police Investigation

Agra’s Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sanjeev Tyagi, confirmed the attack and said that the police are investigating the matter. He mentioned that the attack was in response to Suman’s comment and that some people had been taken into custody.

Akhilesh Yadav’s Allegations

Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav criticized the incident and said it should be condemned. He also alleged that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved of the attack, as it took place while he was in the district. Yadav claimed that Suman, being a Dalit MP, should have been protected and that the attack was done with the Chief Minister’s consent.
