Kangana Ranaut says ‘it’s going to be a delicious day’ as Anupam Kher brings ‘kadhi chawal’ on Emergency sets

Kangana Ranaut will be seen acing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming much-anticipated movie Emergency.
The teaser for the film was released recently that received a massive response from the audience and film critics for Kangana’s on-point resemblance to the former Prime Minister.
The shooting of the film has begun in full swing. Yes, you read that right. Now, Kangana took to her Instagram account and dropped a cute video, offering a glimpse of the ‘delicious lunch’ that Anupam Kher, whom she denotes as her’ favourite actor’ brought to the sets.
Yes, Kher surprised Kangana with her ‘favourite food’, kadhi chawal. In the shared video, we can see Kangana saying, “Favourite actor @anupamkher and favourite food… kadi chawal (a curry and rice) and sookhe aloo (a potato dish) …wah! Life is set. #emergency.”
Aaj set pe mujhe inaam mila hai, Anupam ji ne mera favourite khana laya hai (I have received a present today, Anupam Kher has brought my favourite food).”
The lunch spread has all of her favourite food including baingan bharta (an eggplant dish). “This is going to be a delicious day,” she says in the video.
On the work front
Kangana also has Tiku Weds Sheru and a a few more interesting fims. Talking to ANI about her directorial debut with Emergency she said, ” The Emergency is an undeniable part of recent history and I feel that this will click with the audience. Since the teaser has dropped it’s been trending at number 1, it has taken the nation by storm and it is a validation of the fact that this is what people are starved for. It’s not that people don’t want content, they want to see young filmmakers, new thought process, and refreshing ideas and not the stale typical formula films. I do believe that my instinct as a filmmaker will pay off big time. See you in the cinemas next year.”
