Two stalwarts from the film industry who are pure brilliant and can bring the world to a standstill with their performance are undoubtedly Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The two power-packed performers have three things in common – mind-blowing expressions, killer dance moves and the ability to translate the emotion they are feeling to the audience. They’re versatile, talented and two of the finest actors the film industry has ever seen.
And bringing the world to a halt with their mere prescence, Rajinikanth and Haasan arrived in style for the trailer launch of Ponniyin Selvan. On various occasions, the two actors have constantly been quizzed on how they manage to be friends despite their star status and the fight for being at the top.
At the event last night, Haasan went on to speak about the same and said,”cinema is a small family and there’s no space and time for people to get jealous. Rajini and I knew it way back and that’s the reason why we’re still standing before you.” The two legends have been friends for over 40 years and have always stood by each other at every phase and supported each other’s films.Now isn’t that the stuff of legends.
While we hope to see the two stars together, Kamal will next be seen in Indian 2. After shooting for the film in Bhopal and Gwalior, the makers of the film are expected to begin shooting soon in Taiwan and Europe for the flashback scenes. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek, and Siddharth.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film boasts of an enormous ensemble cast that includes Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Karthi, Sobhita Dhulipala among many others. The movie is based on 1955 novel of the same name written by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
