In a new interview, Gina Deuters, Johnny Depp’s longtime friend, discussed the Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp case. She claimed that her actor-friend is the true victim in the couple’s continuing court struggle, and that Amber is a “sociopathic show pony” waging the case for the wrong reasons.
In a defamation case, Johnny Depp is suing Amber for $50 million over an op-ed piece she published for The Washington Post in 2018. Amber, too, has sued her ex-husband for defamation in the amount of $100 million. As a result, personal information about their marriage and divorce have been made public. But there was one individual who was present during Johnny’s 15-month marriage to Amber. Gina Deuters is the wife of Stephen Deuters, Johnny’s longtime business partner and assistant.
Gina, who was ordered to leave the witness stand during the ongoing Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp trial, claimed Amber thrives on drama in a conversation with Page Six.
Gina recalled an occasion during the Johnny-Amber wedding, when the soon-to-be-wed Amber inquired if she enjoyed arguing with her husband. “I think there is a part of Amber that believes fighting is passion. It means there’s sparks, fireworks in the relationship. Amber is someone who is always used to getting what she wants. She is quite entitled and I think she made big demands in their divorce.”
Gina claims that when Amber was denied the demands, she felt compelled to ruin Johnny since she wasn’t getting what she wanted. Gina also revealed that her husband first referred to Amber as a “sociopathic show pony” after accidentally becoming the mediator in Johnny and Amber’s final days of marriage.
“My husband called her a sociopathic show pony, and he certainly doesn’t regret it… Stephen, at the end, was quite literally the mediator… no one else wanted to deal with Amber, and Stephen would be the only person she could talk to,” Gina said.
Johnny Depp is suing Amber Heard over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she described herself as a sexual violence victim. Despite the fact that she did not mention Johnny by name in the article, he alleges it harmed his reputation and career.
