Apparently miffed by the verbatim used by friend-turned-foe and former union minister RCP Singh, while he tendered his resignation from JDU after a small presser in Nalanda’s Mustafapur, JDU chief Lalan Singh on Sunday asserted that conspiracies against CM Nitish Kumar were already spotted and that they will be exposed on the right time.
Answering the statement made by the former JDU president right before his ‘unceremonious’ exit, Lalan Singh asserted, “JDU is a sailing ship, not a sinking one.”
Upping the ante against the outgoing former party chief, Lalan Singh said, “RCP was never around when we toiled hard to make JDU a power to reckon with.”
As Lalan Singh mocked RCP’s statements, he elaborated further on the endowments bestowed upon RCP by CM Nitish and said that JDU shrunk to a mere 43 in BIHAR assembly polls due to conspiracies but we have identified everything involved. The conspiracies aimed at cutting Nitish to size, alleged Lalan Singh.
In an apparent jibe against the larger NDA constituent, the BJP, Lalan Singh also attributed the shrinking size of JDU in the state legislature to the same conspiracies one of whom was described by him as the ‘Chirag Model’. Lalan Singh refrained to comment any further.
Answering a question pertaining to chief minister’s absence in NITI Aayog’s meet in Delhi, Lalan Singh said it would be better in case the CM answers this himself.
In response to another question pertaining to JDU’s representation in union cabinet, Lalan Singh said we had no representation in the cabinet prior to 2019 and hopefully we’ll continue the same way.
