Ever since Jahnvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mr & Mrs Mahi was announced last year, fans have been incredibly curious about it. Janhvi had posted a video with the caption, “Time to pad up – it’s going to be a journey of two hearts chasing a dream! Presenting #MrAndMrsMahi, coming to cinemas near you on 7th October 2022.”
As a matter of fact, Rajkummar Rao had also contributed to building the anticipation among his fans by posting the same video, writing, “Sometimes you can’t chase your dreams, alone! Excited for this partnership on the field with Janhvi Kapoor, directed by Sharan Sharma. See you in cinemas on 7th October 2022.” Rajkummar.
Lo and behold, Janhvi Kapoor has now taken to her social media to release photos from her ‘cricket camp’. Guess who she is seen training with? None other than cricketer Dinesh Karthik. Yes, you heard it right.
This, of course, leads the fans to believe that she is playing a cricketer in the film. It’s worth noting that this is going to be Janhvi’s second film with Rajkummar Rao after Roohi.
Janhvi shared images of herself wearing a cricketer’s outfit with a helmet on her Instagram account on Wednesday. She was further spotted watching cricketer Dinesh Karthik practise batting in the nets in another photo. Furthermore, director Sharan Sharma can also be seen chilling with Janhvi Kapoor and other team members in a shot. In one of the photographs, Janhvi can be spotted with a cricket kit, teasing her fans about the next flick with each photo.
Karan Johar had earlier shared a short teaser of Mr & Mrs Mahi – No Dream Is Ever Chased Alone on social media in November 2021. Janhvi and Rajkummar’s voices were audible in the background of the video teaser, narrating a portion of their story. Karan had captioned the video as, “One dream, chased by two hearts. Presenting #MrAndMrsMahi, directed by Sharan Sharma who is back with another heart-warming story to tell with his touch of magic! Starring Rajkummar Rao & Janhvi Kapoor, a partnership to look forward to. See you on the field aka the cinemas on 7th October 2022.”
Sharan Sharma, who earlier directed Janhvi’s Gunjan Saxena, is directing the film. It is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and will hit the screen on October 7, 2022.
