In a major victory for the security forces, three terror modules were busted in Rajouri and Jammu, police said . ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh confirmed that of the three terror modules, two were busted in Rajouri and one in Jammu.
The Jammu ADGP informed that Fasal Munir was the mastermind of Jammu terror module. The senior police official said that seven people associated with terrorist outfits were arrested during the raids.
The police official said that the terrorists were getting arms and ammunition for the last 1-1.5 years through many drone sorties from across the border (Pakistani side).
Huge number of explosives and ammunition were recovered by the security forces after they busted a terror hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district.
During the raid, 35 rounds of AK rifle, seven Pike rounds, two magazines, seven pistol rounds, two tiffin boxes, a kerosene stove, a radio set, one UBGL, utensils, 1 kg of an explosive-like material in polythene, 2 kg of explosive materials, a cassette player, IED equipment were recovered.
The hideout was busted during a joint search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles and the police in the heights of the Buzla-Khari belt in Banihal. The hideout was located in Hadwagan-Sernihal forest.
Meanwhile, in a stern message to terrorists, Vijay Kumar, IGP Kashmir, said that the counter terrorist operations will continue in all three regions of the Valley.
Slamming the terrorists, the Kashmir top cop said, “By targeting innocent civilians including women and kids, unarmed policemen and outside labourers, terrorists can’t deter our efforts to bring peace in the Valley. Our CT operations will continue simultaneously in all 3 regions of Kashmir specially against foreign terrorists.”
In an unfortunate incident, a CRPF officer was killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on July 17.
