Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. President Donald Trump , during which several deals between the two countries were finalized. One of the major agreements is a contract worth $8.6 billion awarded to Boeing for supplying fighter jets to Israel.
25 New F-15 Jets for Israel
The Pentagon announced that Boeing has received a contract of up to $8.58 billion to design, build, and deliver 25 new F-15IA fighter jets for the Israeli Air Force. The deal also includes an option for 25 additional jets. The United States has historically been Israel’s largest arms supplier and a key ally in the Middle East.
U.S. Support Continues Amid Gaza Tensions
Despite widespread protests across the U.S. against Israel’s attacks on Gaza, demanding a halt to military support, both Trump and Biden administrations continued backing Israel. The Pentagon emphasized that the contract work will be carried out in St. Louis, with delivery expected to be completed by December 31, 2035.
