November 19, was presumably one of the happiest days of Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani and her husband Anand Piramal’s lives. Just like Isha and her twin Akash, Ambani’s daughter also delivered fraternal twins – a boy and a girl.
In a statement, the families revealed that the twins have been name Aadiya and Krishna. “We are delighted to share that our children Isha and Anand have been blessed by the Almighty with twins on 19th November 2022. Isha and the babies, baby girl Aadiya and baby boy Krishna are doing well. We seek your blessings and good wishes for Aadiya, Krishna, Isha and Anand in this most important phase of their life,” a statement noted.
31-year-old Isha, the executive director of Reliance Retail Ventures–the retail arm of RIL, tied the knot with Anand, who runs the financial services businesses of Piramal Group, in December 2018. A Yale University graduate and a former McKinsey & Co. consultant, Isha is worth $100 million, according to several media reports.
She is also credited for Reliance’s e-commerce foray into fashion retail in 2016 as she launched the online shopping portal Ajio. Her husband Anand Piramal is a successful entrepreneur, who has been conferred with the Hurun Real Estate Unicorn of the Year Award (2017) by Hurun India and Young Business Leader Award by Hello! Magazine (2018).
While Anand’s net worth is not known publicly, his father Ajay Piramal is worth over $3 billion, according to Forbes and is the 62nd richest person in India. He is also counted amongst the 1000 richest people globally.How much will Aadiya and Krishna be worth?
While the twins have been born into one of Asia’s richest families and their maternal grandfather is India’s second richest and the world’s ninth richest man, there has been no announcement regarding their assets as of now. The Ambani and Piramal family could name some assets in the name of the newest family members.
Meanwhile, the Ambani family managed to remain firmly positioned as Asia’s richest family even during the pandemic, according to a ranking published by Bloomberg in December 2020. The report pegged the Ambani family’s wealth at $76 billion then.
The Piramal family, on the other hand, was ranked 47th by Forbes in Asia’s Richest Families list with a net worth of $5.38 billion.
