Indian Idol host Aditya Narayan and actress Shweta Agarwal, who got married in December 2020 after dating each other for 10 years, announced that they are expecting their first child in January and left fans surprised. Now, Aditya has shared the happy news with his fans.
They have been blessed with a baby girl. The singer took to Instagram to share this news. He posted a picture with his wife, Shweta from their wedding and wrote, “Shweta & I feel extremely grateful to share that the almighty has blessed us with a beautiful baby daughter on 24.2.22 @ibtida.co @thehouseontheclouds.”
His friends, including Shantanu Maheshwari, Neeti Mohan, Sugandha Mishra and others commented on the post and congratulated the new parents.
Aditya Narayan spoke about his baby in an interview with Bombay Times. He said that he was secretly wishing for a girl. Aditya shared, ” Everyone kept telling me that it would be a baby boy. But I secretly hoped that we would have a baby girl. I believe fathers are closest to their daughters, and I am happy that my little girl has arrived. Shweta and I feel extremely blessed that we are parents now.”
He also mentioned that he was with Shweta when she delivered the baby and he feels that only a woman can show the kind of strength and perseverance to go through this and bring a child into this world. He also said that the baby’s musical journey has already begun as he keeps singing songs to her and that music is in her DNA. He said, ” Her journey of music has begun because it runs in the family. But then, it all depends on what she wants to do when she grows up. “
He also spoke about his father, Udit Narayan who is extremely happy to see the baby and calls her angel. He shared, “My father is in shock and he keeps looking at our little one and calls her angel! Initially, he was too scared to pick her in his arms, but after a few days, I placed her in his lap and then he got the confidence to play with her. I have already started changing diapers and doing all the fatherly duties. My little one has my eyes, and I think she looks a lot like me. I thank God for this gift.”
