Launching a scathing attack at the party which is currently facing infighting and crisis in Rajasthan while Rahul Gandhi spearheads the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Shah said, “India was 11th largest economy in the world. Congress had brought it down to 12th. It was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had raised it again to the 11th position.”

Shah’s comment comes a week after he had said that India will become the third largest economy soon.
“In the last eight years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, India has become the 5th largest economy from the 11th economy and I am confident that soon we will become the third largest economy in which the cooperative sector will play a big role,” Shah said on September 12 while speaking at the four-day International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit.
Further, Amit Shah slammed the grand old party for lingering Narmada Dam Project since 1964.
“Congress had lingered Narmada Dam Project since 1964. As soon as Modi became CM, he worked hard to bring the water of Narmada river to Ahmedabad. Narendra bhai became the Bhagirath of Gujarat,” he quipped.
